Los Angeles County Alliance honored 28 local Boys & Girls Club's Youth of the Year winners, March 15, 2012 at the California Science Center in Los Angeles.  The Boys & Girls Clubs of America's Youth of the Year program is designed to promote and recognize outstanding teens' service to their Club and community, academic performance, and contributions to family.  One youth is selected to represent his or her local Club and join their counterparts from across the country to enter the National Youth of the year scholarship program.
