The Boys & Girls Club of Whittier provides after-school and summer programs for youth ages 6 to 18 years old that emphasize Academic Success; the development of good Character & Citizenship; and the formation of Healthy Lifestyles.
We currently operate our programs at six locations: the main Clubhouse and our 3,000 sq. ft. Teen Center on Greenleaf Avenue in Whittier, and four satellite locations at Edwards and Dexter Middle School sites, El Rancho High School site, and Santa Fe Springs site at Town Center Hall. Due to the locations of all six of our sites, we concentrate on identifying and engaging our city's at-risk youth, although the Boys & Girls Club of Whittier is a place that any child can find safety, encouragement, and the strength to grow and become a contributing member of our community.
In a world that has never seemed more devoid of promise to a disproportionate number of America’s children, the Boys & Girls Club of Whittier provides a tangible measure of hope. The Club offers young people what they need most: adults who respect and listen to them; a safe environment where they can have fun and be themselves; and interesting, constructive activities that channel youthful energy into challenging pursuits.
