| Staples Supplies to Benefit Boys & Girls Club of Whittier |
|
As part of the 2009 back-to-school season, Staples is partnering with the Boys & Girls Club of Whittier for their Do Something 101 Campaign. The campaign, which runs from July 5th through September 19th, will allow Staples customers the opportunity to donate much needed school supplies to deserving members within the Boys & Girls Club of Whittier.
“We are so grateful for our community partnerships, such as the one we have with Staples”, shared Samantha Ridout, Executive Director. “Not only are they directly impacting our kids and helping them have a great start to their school year, but they are also showing them what it means to give back. It is quite a special moment when a child realizes that their community really does care about them.”
In addition to the supply donations being received from both the Staples store at the Quad and in Pico Rivera, the Boys & Girls Club of Whittier will also be receiving two brand-new laptop computers.
The Boys & Girls Club of Whittier provides year round programs for youth ages 7 to 18 in the areas of Education & Career Development; Character & Leadership; Health & Life Skills; Sports, Fitness & Recreation; and Visual & Performing Arts.
