Whittier Clubs Raise Money for Haiti Earthquake Relief

WHITTIER - Members of the Whittier Host Lions Club and the Boys & Girls Club of Whittier recently took to the streets to raise more than $10,000 for Haiti earthquake relief. About 20 club youths and staff members joined area Lions Club volunteers to collect money for disaster relief in Uptown Whittier. They worked side by side blanketing Greenleaf Avenue collecting money for four hours. "We were pleased to be able to support the Whittier Host Lions Club in their endeavor to raise money for disaster relief in Haiti," said Samantha Ridout, executive director of the Boys & Girls Club of Whittier.
